Tour Overview
Deserts and camels are two things that are ubiquitous with one-another, and for good reason. Although these days they travel mostly by jeep, for centuries, travelling on camelback was the best way for Bedouins to travel around the desert. On this tour we will tour the desert on the back of a camel before we set up camp for an unforgettable evening of traditional Bedouin food. Afterwards, we will camp out under the starry night sky or you will spend the night in one of our comfortable private tents.

Tour Programme

Day 1: When you reach Wadi Rum you will arrive at the Wadi Rum Visitor Centre, the gateway to the Wadi Rum Protected Area. Here is where you will pay the entrance fees or enter with the Jordan Pass. After the Visitor Centre, you will continue onward for about 6km to the Wadi Rum Village until you reach the Wadi Rum Rest House. Here I will greet you and lead you inside for a short rest and a cup of delicious Bedouin tea. With a map, I will chat with you about the day's plans. Once the tea is finished, we will set off into the desert.

We will start the tour from the Wadi Rum Village on camelback and visit Lawrence Spring, Khazali Canyon, the red sand dunes, and the Nabatean inscriptions in Anfashiyeh. We will continue onward to Lawrence's house where you will have a fantastic view over the desert. During the day, we will stop in the shade to rest and have lunch and Bedouin tea.

After lunch, we will continue with the camels to the perfect place to watch the sunset and to see the beauty of the changing colours of the landscape. Following the jeep tour, we will make our way to the camp where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the setting sun moving behind the desert mountains. After the sunset, you will gather in our big tent where we serve a buffet style meal of traditional Bedouin dishes. When you are ready for bed, you can head back to your private tent or camp out beneath the starry night sky.

Day 2: Breakfast will be served around 7:00. After breakfast, we will drive back to the Rum Village, arriving around 8:30.
